My brain first read, “Like I said, the first 7 cm are the most exciting, OK?”

I actually had a Dr. Who scarf back in the 1970s. It was something like 14 feet long. I never wore it, though. No idea whatever happened to it.

My wife gets WAY more pissed at me than that when I go to pass people on 2-lane roads. She’s deathly afraid of passing people and freaks the fuck out about any passing even though I have more than enough power and time to make a very safe pass. My wife is a terrible passenger.

my brother went to a school costume day dressed as the doctor, but we only had a black and white tv, so his scarf was not right. or so goes the story

If she was anything like my wife, they wouldn’t find his body for years after this video was shot.

She’s pretty. Pretty annoying, that is. I think this one with Riccardo Patrese and his wife is still the best.

Her voice, though. Not that his is worth writing home about, but wasn’t ready for the mousiness.

The solution is to buy a ridiculously overpowered car.

At first I thought he was speaking Italian and I was wondering how he could drive at the same time, then I realized he was speaking Portuguese so it all made sense then.

ugh... my wife yells at me anytime I go faster than 4 mph and don’t slow down for corners...

I tell her to take a train... but she doesn’t like that idea.

Hypocrisy is that she drives like a maniac.... but hates when I do it

My wife doesn’t drive like a maniac. She’s mildly slow. But she can’t handle being not in control of a vehicle she’s riding in. She’s normally a thoughtful, caring, warm person but being a passenger, especially when I’m driving, flips some kind of switch for her.

A couple weeks ago we were on our way home from her mom’s, stuck behind a particularly slow motorcycle on a 2-lane highway. Doing like probably 50 mph tops. I went through multiple passing zones where I wanted to get around this guy, and yeah we were in her slow Impreza, but there was one totally empty passing zone where I could have made a leisurely pass even in her car, and she was so hysterical that I didn’t pass the guy.

She’s working on it.

My wife has to read a book while I drive in LA, because she freaks out. “Don’t brake so hard!” “Why are you driving so fast?” “Lookout! He could have changed lanes.” “Watch out for that driver. And that one, too. They could be drunk. You never know!” Screams out of nowhere, “BRAKE!”

So, her reading a book and not looking up helps us out quite a bit.

I wish my wife could read a book while I drive. She gets carsick.

I thought that an audio book would solve the problem. Nope. She still got carsick.

The best option is for her to take a benadryl and go to sleep. That’s how we get through long trips these days.

Lately she’s taken to focusing on games on her phone but they don’t entirely divert her attention.

It’s especially annoying because my car is plenty fast, which makes passing safer, but getting shoved into her seat by acceleration only makes her freak out more.

A month or two ago we were in my car, I saw a good-enough opening, told her before I downshifted that I was going to pass, dropped from 6th to 4th, and had mostly completed the pass before she had a chance to yell at me.

“My car is really fast, that was totally safe, and I told you what was happening before I did it,” was not an acceptable explanation.

my wife trusts my driving...so she spends a lot of time on her phone.. facebooking or whatever... so her eyes are off the road. He hands are holding phone instead of handles and her body just slides around like a rag doll because she isn’t anticipating turns, accelerations or breakings... so yeah. if I did that, I would get sick too.

Women... can’t live with them... can’t fuck trees

My wife loves reminding me how that one spot in the road always has people braking... no matter if the road is empty. No matter if she is with me. I need to brake there so I don’t hit anyone...

Dramamine. Best stuff for car sickness! Has kept my son from throwing up in my car for years. He’s a barfer.

Doesn’t work for her. Neither do the little wrist bands. She has an inner-ear disorder that, when it really gets going, can make her so dizzy she can’t walk a straight line. She has prescription meds that do pretty much what Benadryl does - put her to sleep.
